Happy 40th Birthday Nutsack!!!
Well it's BAS 40th birthday ya'll. He is really due congratulations for surviving as long as he has. After all, how many of us would have loved to see it over at 39? He's one of those guys that even a mother wouldn't miss.I digress. It looks like there may be no more need for this blog so you may be looking at the last post. Like everything else in his life, BAS has failed at being a website administrator also. Without Backgroundbeat.com BAS no longer has a voice, therefore has been rendered impotent. The "Twit" even managed to get his "Twitter" account shut down too. I've always said that this blog would be a counterpoint to his lies on BB.com. Now that he has been silenced I see no need to continue my crusade of justice.
Take pride in the fact that we have won! We have met our sad, pathetic, lying, cheating, lonely, deplorable, feeble, miserable, petty, pitiful adversary head on and crushed him like the bug he truly is. Job well done.
Now that we've got the pleasantries out of the way I encourage all of you to send BAS some birthday greetings in the comments section. I'm sure he would love to hear your tender thoughts and wishes.
40 years gone and nothing to show for it but arrests and fantasies of self importance. His parents must be so proud. Why don't you do them a favor BAS and just end it? Looks like BAS didn't pay his bill again. Backgroundbeat.com's account has been temporarily suspended for non-payment. It ain't the first time either. For a guy that claims to work such lucrative and numerous jobs he never seems to have any money.
If I didn't know any better I would think he's nothing but a lying sack of shit.

Actorsaccess is not a scam at all. If you are looking for "principal" roles this is a valuable tool for you to have. Actors Access and LA Casting (Casting Networks) are the two "must have" online services for any actor pursuing speaking roles.
If you are pursuing background work, Actors Access is virtually useless. Their background section (extrasaccess.com) only lists about 5-10% of the jobs that LA Casting and Hollywood O/S does on a daily basis. Only one casting director (Sande Alessi) uses them exclusively. Unfortunately she only uses them for hard to find or specialty roles.
Here's an easy breakdown:
Principal roles: Actors Access and LA Casting (Casting Networks).
Background roles: Hollywood O/S and LA Casting (Casting Networks).
If you can only afford one, and want to do both, go with LA Casting (Casting Networks).

I think he's learned his lesson
Good to see he's stopped with his asinine comments. I guess he knows he's met his match.Hopefully this blog will no longer be necessary.
Please understand, since backgroundbeat.com is run by a sociopath I had to make sure that people reading the forum weren't misled by his frequent lies. All I ever asked of him was to be fair and honest.
As the administrator of a forum that is supposed to be helping the background actor navigate his/her way through the business it is imperative that the information on a site like that be accurate. If he starts his BS again, go right at him. You've got the most powerful weapon in your corner...the truth!
Now that you know who he is don't just stand up to him online. If you notice him on a set be sure to let everyone know who he is and what he's done. If you hear him badmouthing someone or some company to a newbie who doesn't know any better, make sure you approach that person and tell them what they're dealing with.
Great shirt huh? If you know you'll be working with "Mr. Pathetic" on a multiple day call I think it would be fun if a few of you showed up wearing this. Make him feel welcome.

A "ho hum" week but he's still a jackass.
This week's spam, I mean newsletter, contains his usual hawking of services, some legit, some questionable. Of course he takes a shot at Hollywood O/S for no reason. If anyone knows Aaron at AATMO.BIZ ( a new calling service) they might want to verify BAS's statement .

DH: This is the most troubling part of the email. Let's break it down first since BAS loves to twist the truth to feed his sickness.
A) No calling service uses Hollywood O/S, LA Casting, Extras Access or ANY other online casting service. Why, you ask? Because they're in the same business! A calling service has a roster of people that pay them to get work. Why would they ignore their own people and go out to an online service to fill slots? Typical BAS.
B) Why won't Aaron work with Headquarters? If he truly has the best interests of his clients at heart why would he disregard a company that gets as much work as any other boutique agency? If you're a member of Aatmo.biz you might want to ask this question. His job is to get you work, not turn his back on it. If you're SAG you know how hard it is out there. Would you hire a service that ignores SAG listings because he is friends with a low life like Brett? Personally I don't believe Aaron said any such thing.
C) If Aaron did say this then all current members of Hollywood O/S and Headquarters should boycott his service. Why support someone who supports a low life like Brett? What's fair is fair. Can someone please contact Aaron and see if he has been accurately quoted? I know BAS is a liar and would hate for Aaron to be lumped in with him if this isn't true.

The Walls Are Closing in on BAS!
What a week! Every post on backgroundbeat.com seems to be calling Brett out on his bullshit. Way to go people! He can't delete or modify the posts fast enough and it's getting to him. I just love watching the little rat squirm.
Now he's paranoid that all of his detractors are using fake IP addresses to log back on after he cuts them off. Thanks for the idea BAS!! If he cuts you off from posting or eliminates your account just go to one of those proxy sites that let you surf the net anonymously. They're free!
Just keep signing up as different user names until the truth chokes his chicken little neck. Don't forget to post the link to this blog any chance you get. All of the newbies to backgroundbeat.com should know that the administrator is a douche bag who lies through his teeth. They need to know about this blog!

Re-writing History??
Here's BAS response to the discovery of his true identity and alleged sordid past. I don't know about you, but his sanitized version does not seem to match what appears in the case file:

Choose the tab that says "Criminal Case Search." The case number is 04CR3427. Be sure that under "Case Status", you select "All". Several counts of child molestation and child pornography.
Curious points to ponder:
BAS: In 2000 I caught a neighborhood kid blowing up firecrackers in my yard. I called the police and sent them to his house.
DH: The charge says "child molestation." That means he was accused of actual touching. There's no mention of any contact that could have been misconstrued by the child in BAS story.
BAS: To get out of trouble he turned it on me and said he looked in my windows and saw porn, or maybe he thought my girlfriend was under age.
DH: Would a judge issue an arrest warrant based on someone peeking in the window of a private residence? That's a tough sell.
Let's look at the second part: "or maybe he thought my girlfriend was under age."
Hmmmm. I find it hard to believe that a 32 year old man (BAS age at the time), could possibly be dating a girl that could be mistaken for a 12-16 year old. I don't know about you but when I was a teen I knew everybody close to my age in the neighborhood. Could his youthful looking girlfriend have been flown in from out of town? How else could his accuser, who BAS says was a neighborhood kid, make that mistake? As a former police officer I can tell you that the first thing we would have done was verify the young lady's age before pursuing an arrest. This is almost laughable.
BAS: Actually, I don't know what all he said.
DH: You don't know what was said? What? You are arrested for child molestation and sexual exploitation of a child and yet you don't bother to find out what was said? You spend a week in jail, have your father bail you out, have your whole life turned upside down and you don't know what was said? The case went on for five years and you don't know what was said? This tells me all I need to know about BAS version of events.
BAS: I was arrested, my computers searched, and when I was eventually found innocent the whole thing was expunged and I got a nice apology. I never even went to court. Shit happens.
DH: The case file shows something different. BAS was never found innocent. Judge Hancock ruled that the prosecution couldn't prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt. Does anybody remember the OJ verdict? OJ was not found innocent; his crafty lawyers were able to create reasonable doubt. OJ was found liable in the civil case that followed. Where there's smoke, there's probably fire.
Why didn't Dekalb County have this case removed from its website? If it were me and I were truly innocent I would force the issue to my dying breath. Wouldn't you?
I can't speak about the nice apology but I'd sure like to find out if the 11 prosecution witnesses apologized.

Did you get the SPAM email from Background Actor Supreme on 8/21/07??
If you're a member of Background Beat then you got his email asking you to buy website services and business cards from friends of his. Don't you think it's odd that an administrator of a forum would send a blanket email hawking products and services? I wonder if his benevolence is really due to the fact that he is getting a cut of the profits? Hmmmm.
What's really even more odd is the last line of his email. Out of nowhere and totally unrelated to the products he is shilling, he goes on the attack against Hollywood O/S. Check it out for yourself:

Do you remember when he was thrown off of a set for rummaging through women's purses left in holding? I'm starting to think that he was probably looking for Hollywood O/S cards so he could throw them out. He's obviously that desperate.

How it all started
Though "BackgroundActorSupreme" has repeatedly blasted HOS for the last few years it isn't until very recently that members of the forum got fed up with his lies and asked him for proof. Needless to say, he couldn't deliver. If you look at his posts you'll notice a pattern. He disregards experiences by actual members and lashes out at anyone who supports HOS. Watch how he twists the truth. What are his real motives?

Your motives are so transparent it's pathetic. I have nothing bad to say about LA Casting (Casting Networks) because they post as many SAG jobs as HOS. These two also post audience work for those members that need some extra cash. If you're looking for the best sites for background work it's LA Casting (Casting networks) and Hollywood OS hands down. Actors Access (Extras Access) is a complete waste of money if you are looking for background work. I know, I'm a member. 90% of what you'll find on this site are non-union and non-paying shorts and student films.

If you want to waste your money, submit to fake or unauthorized job postings, or have them screw with your credit card then that's on you.

I also submit to Casting Networks, Now Casting, Actor`s Access (for Real acting jobs), LA Casting Group , am registered with Jeff Olan, Alice Ellis, Prime Casting, Bill Dance and I use Cameo as a calling service......none of whom have done me any good except for auditions from Alice Ellis and Actor`s Access.The point is, if it weren`t for this big "scam" I would have worked one job for two days.....period. I guess SOME CDs must submit legit jobs to them. I know Headquarters Casting uses OS because I got NT2 through them as does Jeff Olan and Bill Dance when they are having trouble finding someone.That being said, if you are trying to make a living doing background, you are an idiot.

Knowing he is being asked to deliver facts, "Background Actor Supreme" emails me privately to tell me that Hollywood O/S is a scam because their competitors don't like them. Duh? He also threatens to delete my account:

This forum should be about education and information, not personal grudges. A scam is when a company misleads their customers into giving them money and provides nothing in return. I think you would be hard pressed to find any HOS member who hasn't made their $200 annual fee back in jobs over the course of a year. I have no loyalty to any of these services or CD's. I'm just a BG actor trying to make a living.
BAS has sent me a private message threatening to expel me from this board for expressing my thoughts about him and HOS. If you don't see me anymore you'll know why. If I am banned you'll all know who is being truthful in this matter. Good luck all.

I realize that BG work can be frustrating and we're all going to have people we don't like in the business. You need to rise above that and look at the big picture.
